Civil Defense and Firefighting Program

General Information

About the Program

The Fire Department or Fire Service is the general name given to the organization that provides firefighting services and performs operation to extinguish fires. The mission of the fire service is to save lives and to protect property and the environment from fire and other hazardous situations. In some areas, they may also provide technical rescue, fire protection, fire investigation, and emergency medical services. In fact, they play a very important role in a society and sometimes undertake their tasks at the expense of their life. Firefighters, who are always ready and respond quickly and effectively during fires and other emergencies, do not have a second chance.

With today’s continuously growing technology, a variety of fires and flammable materials have emerged that require their own extinguishing and firefighting techniques. In parallel, the importance of fire services is increasing day by day.

The aim of this two-year program is to train people who can carry out firefighting operations and  make critical decisions during the operations, take precaution against fires and conduct search, rescue and first aid in incident scene.
