CIENCE AND OPINION LEADERS FROM BEYAZID,  CONTINUING AHMED-İ HÂNÎ ERA

Beyazid was one of the most important banner centers of Ottoman period. It also attach great importance in terms of our science and culture history because of being a district that has a very important position for its touristic and geografical structure. The district, which is mentioned in Ottoman history as the most important administration center of the region,was the primary place where scientific discussions and debates were intensively  made by  sunni and shiah preachers  since being the nearest Ottoman province to Iran border. The references  point out that one of the  most important and severe stages of Ottoman-Safavid struggle was  sectarian and kalam- related debates made by sunni and  shiah preachers. For this reason, Dogubeyazıt  is regarded as  one of the most important science centers of the region from of old. In this science center, many wisemen, including   Ahmed-i Xânî, Mollah Muhammed-i Celâlî, Halîfe Yusuf ve Mollah Musa Celâlî  were raised and they  rendered   important services to scientific  and intellectual life.
