EMERGENCY AND DISASTER MANAGEMENT

Purpose of the Program:

To train innovative, researcher and entrepreneur experts who are equipped with the knowledge and skills related to their profession to carry out and manage all kinds of loss-reducing activities, especially coordination in case of disasters, such as pre-disaster training, awareness raising and project development.


Required Qualifications:
Being a team that likes to help people, can make fast and correct decisions in sudden situations, is strong and strong, careful, clean, meticulous, calm and has a strong sense of responsibility, has good communication with others, has leadership qualities, and is open to teamwork. In addition, having the skills and knowledge to apply and manage the unit to which he / she will take charge, which applies emergency aid techniques to patients and injured patients, conducts medical interventions for life-saving and disability prevention, and ensures coordination in any disaster situation, minimizes losses. are also the qualities sought.


Training Period and Content:

Education period is 2 years. Applications from all high school types can be made to the program. Placement is made according to the results of the YKS. The Emergency Aid and Disaster Management Department covers a very intensive and practical applied training program that includes AAT, Search and Rescue, Emergency Aid, Firefighting and Disaster Management.


Job Opportunities After Graduation:
Graduates from the Emergency and Disaster Management program, in line with the competencies they have gained; Public institutions and organizations (hospitals, schools, etc.) and local in disaster management areas in provincial directorates, Disaster Management and Coordination Centers, fire departments, civil defense search and rescue units, private sector and non-governmental organizations, they can find the opportunity to work in the relevant units of the administrations, in organizations related to disaster management in international organizations.


Opportunities for Progress in the Profession:
Upon successful completion of this program, students can continue their undergraduate studies in the following undergraduate programs by entering the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) to be held by ÖSYM if they wish; Emergency Aid and Disaster Management Nursing Nursing and Health Services
