Child Development Department

Child Development Department is a department that can evaluate the mental, language, motor, social, emotional development and self-care skills of children aged 0-18 with normal development or disability, in need of protection, working, refugee, delinquent and hospitalized children. It trains Child Developers who provide services to children, families, educators, and society in supporting their skill areas. Graduates of this program work in various private and public institutions as Child Developers. Child Developers, who undertake important tasks such as revealing the development of children, who form the basis of society, in different areas and supporting them in every way, guiding families and educators in this regard, making necessary guidance for the creation of appropriate education programs and raising awareness of the society; They play an important role for a modern and conscious society consisting of healthy and successful individuals in every aspect. The increasing diversification of family and child-related problems reveals the importance of Child Development more and more.

Occupational Profile of Graduates

Child development professionals work works as an expert, consultant, founder, manager and supervisor in institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Family and Social Services, in public and private institutions such as public health centers, hospitals, hospital schools, child monitoring centers affiliated to the Ministry of Health, in institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of National Education; General Directorate of Basic Education, General Directorate of Special Education and Guidance Services, Guidance and Research Centers, Public Education Centers, General Assembly of Education and Training, kindergartens, special education and rehabilitation centers, radio and television programs for children and youth and education  in the preparation and execution of programs, in children's theaters and children's films, in the preparation of publications such as books, magazines and newspapers for children, in the production of educational toys, in UNICEF, ILO and voluntary organizations, NGOs.
