The Department of Medical Microbiology, which is part of Basic Medical Sciences, provides medical students with knowledge and skills in general microbiology, bacteriology, mycology, virology, parasitology and basic immunology.

Our department aims to provide our students with theoretical and practical courses to identify microorganisms, learn the tests used in infectious diseases, and have the knowledge and skills necessary for treatment, protection and prevention. It is also aimed for our students to have the best equipment in culture, microscopy, serology and molecular diagnostic tests.
