Doğubayazıt Vocational School was previously established under Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. At the meeting of the Higher Education General Assembly on 29.04.2010, it was decided to transfer Doğubayazıt Vocational School to Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University. Our school was named after Doğubayazıt Ahmed-i Hani Vocational School by giving the name of Ahmed-i Hani (Kurdish: Ehmedê Xanî), who later lived in the 17th century as a scholar, Kurdish literary, poet and historian.

Our Vocational School started education and training with 43 students in 2012-2013 academic year. Nowadays, our Vocational School aims to provide educational services to approximately 2000 students through 11 daytime education and evening education programs.
