General Information

DEPARTMENT OF MACHINERY AND METAL TECHNOLOGIES

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

In this department, there are 3 academicians and a total of 65 students and 24 of them are active students.

Within the department, there are Basic Manufacturing and CNC workshop, AUTOCAD Computer Laboratory and Technical Drawing Drawing Laboratory.

In this department, it is ensured that basic technical training is supported by laboratory practices and professional studies can be performed.

Courses in Mechanical and Metal Technologies Program; theoretical and applied information, experimental skills and abilities are given according to the applications in modern technology. The laboratories of the program have modern research equipment and equipment to provide scientific support. Graduates work as intermediate staff in the machinery manufacturing industry with the title of technician.

THE AIM OF THE PROGRAM

The purpose of the machine program is to train machine manufacturing technicians with the quality criteria demanded by the manufacturing industry.

To students;

Ability to recognize and use the production tools and techniques used in the manufacturing industry.

Ability to recognize and use tools and techniques used in machining and chipless production.

Welding technology knowledge and ability, gaining the ability to use measurement and control instruments used during manufacturing.

Ability to read drawing and drawing technical drawings in AUTOCAD environment or manually.

The ability to realize production by writing programs for CNC machines, by installing these programs on CNC machines, is gained.

Knowledge and skills are gained about new production, management techniques and quality management systems.

Some of the Machine Program's Interests are

  • Machining and chipless manufacturing methods with conventional machine tools
  • Machining methods with modern machine tools
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic machine design and production
  • CAD / CAM Computer aided design and production
