Nursing is a health discipline consisting of science and art, which is responsible for the planning, organization, implementation, evaluation of the nursing services, and the education of individuals who will perform these services, for the purpose of protecting and improving the health and well-being of the individual, family and society.

Nurses, in the protection of mental health of all groups living in the region with low socio-economic level, migrated, risky in terms of substance abuse, children, adolescents, women, elderly, unemployed and disabled who have risk of mental health deterioration; knows the developmental period features and in line with these features, in the bio-psycho-social development of the child; In preventive interventions on risky behaviors (smoking, alcohol and substance addiction, suicide, violent behavior, risky sexual behaviors etc.) that may occur during adolescence; gives information about the characteristics of this period to individuals in middle age and old age. It supports and counsels about the methods of dealing with physical, emotional and social problems that may arise during this period.
