General Information

Nuclear power plants, radioisotope production centers, public and private hospitals, calibration companies using radioactive materials, and institutions that provide services using radioactive sources are the main areas of employment for technicians who are knowledgeable and equipped in terms of radiation sources.

Turkey has signed agreements for the establishment of the first nuclear power plants and continues negotiations to establish new nuclear power plants in the near future. Therefore, it is clear that power plant technician will be one of the most sought after in the coming years. However, the number of institutions which provides a comprehensive training for new power plant technicians including business training is insufficient.

Program graduates primarily can be employed in public and private sector organizations such as nuclear power plants, the Nuclear Medicine Laboratory, Radiation Oncology, Radiology Departments, radiology departments, companies that provide quality-control and calibration services in radioisotope production centers, public and private hospitals.
