It brought the need to research and manage natural and inexhaustible energy sources such as wind, solar, geothermal, hydroelectricity, etc. due to the fact that fossil-derived energy sources are expensive and finite, causing climate change and environmental pollution. In this context, the need for environmentally friendly technical personnel who can take part in the production, installation and operation of alternative energy systems is increasing. The aim of this program is to train qualified and active intermediate personnel who can work in the energy sector, as well as in other sectors, by providing a high standard education on subjects such as the use of alternative energy sources in the sector and knowing the systems required for these resources.

With the Renewable Energy Law of December 2010, purchases are guaranteed for electricity from solar, geothermal, hydroelectric and biomass, and new power plant installations in the field of renewable energy are expected to increase rapidly.

Program graduates will be able to be employed primarily in power plants that generate electricity from solar, geothermal, hydroelectric and biomass.

Since our country is very rich in terms of alternative energy resources in all geographies of our country, graduates of the program will be able to open new employment areas on electricity production from alternative energy sources by benefiting from the equipped education they receive.

In addition, program graduates will be able to be employed in all public and private sector organizations that provide services or services using alternative energy sources.
