The aim of the program; to educate human resource who can evaluate the mental, language, motor, social-emotional development and self-care ability of the children between 0-18 years old who are refugee, criminal, in-patient, in need of protection and who show typical or atypical development, and who provides the child, family, educator and society in supporting all areas of development and skill. With the education on offer; individuals who have universal and cultural values, professional ethical competence and consciousness, and who follow the latest technological and science developments with the awareness of lifelong learning in individual and professional fields, and who have knowledge, skills, competence and awareness about safety, health and environmental protection measures are gained.
Title given to graduates: Associate degree diploma and title of Child Development Specialist is given to those who have completed this programme.
Occupational Opportunities: Students who graduate from this program will have the general rights acquired like students who graduate from associate degree programs, and they will have the opportunity to be employed in public institutions and organizations like them. Especially, the biggest employment areas of students graduating from this field are public and private preschools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education and official and private day care centers and nurseries affiliated to the Ministry of Family and Social Policies.

Internship: There is no compulsory summer internship in our department.
Departments that can be Preferred with the Vertical Transfer Exam: Students who complete this program are offered the opportunity to transfer to Child Development and Preschool Teaching departmens according to the score they receive from VTE (Vertical Transfer Exam).
