PROFILE
Prof. Dr. Rıdvan Durak is a faculty member in the
Physics Department of the Faculty of Science at Atatürk University where he has
been a faculty member since 1987. Durak is still the Dean of the Faculty of
Arts and Sciences at Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University.
Dr. Durak completed his doctorate at Atatürk
University. Her research interests include X-ray and Gamma-rays,
non-destructive sample analysis, radiation detection, radiation dosimetry,
radiation protection, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRFS), radiation
shielding, atomic parameters measurements.
In recent years, researches on the design and
applicability of today's efficient, multifunctional and non-toxic light and
high performance composite radiation shielding materials. His publications include about 70
papers in various peer-reviewed journals.
Durak is also a member of Turkish
Physical Society and Europan X-Ray spectrometry Association, (EXSA) national
and international organizations serving in physical sciences. He has been a
member of the Inter-Universities
Committee since 2017.
